We don’t close for lunch and are able to offer early evening appointments several times a week, with weekend appointments also available, to make a trip to the dentist as convenient as possible.

A new patient examination costs £130 and takes around 60 minutes, giving us plenty of time to assess your teeth, gums, and soft tissues. We use high-magnification and specialised cameras for a detailed clinical and cosmetic check, which includes screening for oral cancer. We will need to take multiple X-rays so that we can get a full understanding of your oral health, but don't worry, they're included in the price. After your exam, we’ll go over any treatments you might need and set up your next routine appointment.

Cosmetic dentistry

Cosmetic dentistry

Cosmetic dentistry

Your journey to a perfect smile starts with a comprehensive exam. During this visit, our skilled cosmetic dentist will take a close look at your teeth, gums, and overall oral health. We’ll go over all your options and discuss your concerns and preferences.

We focus on creating a treatment plan that’s just right for you, ensuring you get the best results. Our dentist loves making beautiful smile makeovers using minimally invasive techniques, so your transformation will look amazing while keeping your natural teeth healthy.

Absolutely! At Ferry Dental Centre, we understand that teeth whitening can boost your self-confidence and overall well being. That’s why it’s one of our most popular cosmetic dental treatments. We offer a variety of teeth whitening options to meet the unique needs of our patients.

With proper care - like brushing, flossing, and regular dental visits - your veneers should last at least seven years, with an average of around fifteen years. We've even seen veneers that are 20 years old still looking fantastic! Veneers are a non-invasive, fast, and effective way to brighten your smile without harming your natural teeth.

Teeth straightening

In Southampton, we provide state-of-the-art orthodontic treatments, including Invisalign and ClearCorrect, to help you achieve perfectly aligned teeth. Our teeth straightening options are designed to be effective and discreet, ensuring you can smile confidently throughout the treatment process.

Our orthodontic team is led by Dr Marwa Arzoky, a dentist with a special interest in short-term orthodontics. She’s certified in both Invisalign and ClearCorrect and is also a ClearCorrect Ambassador and key opinion leader in the UK. With lots of experience using different aligner systems, she easily incorporates clear aligners into her daily treatments.

Clear aligners offer several advantages over traditional fixed braces. They’re nearly invisible, so most people won’t even notice you’re wearing them, making them a great choice if you want a more discreet option. They’re also removable, meaning you can take them out for meals, brushing, and flossing, which makes it easier to maintain good oral hygiene. Clear aligners are typically more comfortable too, since they don’t have metal wires or brackets that can irritate your mouth.

Missing or damaged teeth

Missing or damaged teeth

At our Southampton practice we provide a variety of dental implant options to suit your needs. A single tooth implant is perfect for replacing a single missing tooth with a natural-looking implant and crown. For those missing multiple teeth, we offer the implant retained bridge, which uses implants to support a bridge without relying on adjacent teeth.

If you need more stability with your dentures, an overdenture uses implants to anchor the denture securely, enhancing comfort and function. Lastly, a full arch restoration, also known as “All-on-4” or “All-on-6,” is a permanent solution for replacing all teeth in the upper or lower jaw with strategically placed implants.

Each option is designed to restore both function and aesthetics, helping you smile with confidence.

If you’re a nervous patient, it’s completely normal to be concerned about discomfort during dental implant treatment. However, we take great care to ensure your comfort throughout the process. Before the procedure, we use local anaesthetic to numb the area, so you shouldn’t feel any pain during the implant placement.

Some patients may experience mild discomfort or swelling afterwards, but this can usually be managed with over-the-counter pain relievers and any prescribed medications. Our team will also provide detailed aftercare instructions to help you recover comfortably. If you have any concerns or need additional support, please don’t hesitate to talk to us - we're here to help make your experience as pleasant as possible.

Dentures and implants both replace missing teeth, but they differ in function and stability. Dentures are removable appliances that sit on the gums and can replace either a full arch or just a few teeth. While they are generally more affordable, they may require adjustments and can feel less stable during use.

Dental implants are surgically placed into the jawbone, acting as artificial tooth roots. They offer a more permanent solution that closely mimics natural teeth, providing greater stability for eating and speaking.

During your consultation with us in Southampton, your dentist will assess your oral health and bone density to determine the best option for you. They’ll discuss the benefits and drawbacks of each choice, to help you make an informed decision.
