Your first visit to Ferry Dental Centre

Your first visit is key to building our long-lasting relationship. We'll gather important details like your medical history and give you time to meet with the dentist. During the visit, we’ll perform a thorough examination of your teeth, gums, and tissues to assess your oral health.

We encourage you to ask questions and share your expectations, as this helps us customise your care. Our goal is to make new patients feel welcome, so if you’re feeling nervous, please let us know, and we’ll ensure you’re completely comfortable and at ease.

New patient examination

Your new patient examination is a 60-minute appointment with Dr Iuri, our Principal Dentist, during which he will:

Check your oral health, including your teeth, gums, tongue, and cheeks.

Look for issues you may not see or feel, such as early signs of decay.

Take digital X-rays as necessary,

Capture images with our intraoral camera of any areas of interest

Perform an oral cancer screening

We'll then move to our consultation room to review the X-rays and photos together in comfort. We will provide detailed information about any proposed treatment, including financing options and timeframes. If no treatment is needed, we'll schedule your next routine visit.

It allows time to begin or complete treatment if needed. A dental consultation is a shorter appointment focused on one specific concern, offering solutions without immediate treatment. It may include X-rays and a treatment plan for issues like potential fillings or extractions.

What should I bring to my new patient examination?

Please bring any relevant medical records, a list of medications you’re currently taking, and your insurance information, if applicable. Having this information will help us assess your health more accurately and provide you with the best possible care tailored to your needs.

What are my options for financing or payment plans?

We provide a range of flexible financing options and payment plans to make dental care more accessible. During your new patient examination, we’ll go over these options in detail, helping you understand the available plans so you can select one that best suits your budget and needs. Patients can also split payments over 2 to 3 visits for treatments such as crowns, bridges, orthodontics, and implants.
